The Bent Fork: Culinary review

By: Linda Persyn

An enjoyable lunch today at La Frite Belgian Bistro. Miles Donnelly is always the perfect host.

Serving Belgian and French cuisine, my fare of the day was Srepe al jambon Et Fromage–a freshly made perfect crepe with French ham and gruyere cheese, covered in a delightful cream sauce with mushrooms. A salad of fresh greens, including arugula, with a delightfully spiced light oil and vinegar dressing complemented the meal. Of course, their specialty of a side order of fresh, Belgian sliced fries with an aeoli dipping sauce to die for was an absolute must!
