Pauline Garcia who worked at the Helotes Valley Mart was killed Friday morning, October 21. Garcia and her family also owned Paulan Specialty Services. Their company provided firewood, landscaping, and other handy man services.
According to DPS reports Pauline Garcia was involved in a three-vehicle car accident on State Highway 16 in Medina County.
Medina County Sherriff’s office received a call reporting a vehicle crash at 04:39 am. DPS officers were dispatched to the scene. Vehicle number one, a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 22-year-old Jacquline Garcia of Pipe Creek was traveling Northbound on State Highway 16 and for reasons undetermined at this time crossed over the median striking a 2000 Silverado driven by Pauline Garcia 62 of Pipe Creek. Garcia was traveling southbound on State Highway 16.
A third vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac Vibe driven by Linda Wilson 62 from Bandera, traveling southbound on State Highway 16 sideswiped Pauline Garcia and then struck the vehicle driven by Jacquline Garcia.
Wilson was treated at the scene and released. Jacquline Garcia was transported to University Hospital and at last reports her condition was listed as stable.
Pauline Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is currently under investigation. The reason for the Jeep Cherokee to leave the northbound lane, cross the median, and strike Pauline Garcia has not been determined at this time. No charges have been filed and no arrest has been made. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
