Northwest Vista College investigates bomb threat

On Wednesday, February 21 Northwest Vista College received an unconfirmed bomb threat regarding the Juniper Hall Building a little after 2pm. Juniper Hall serves as a classroom building including a computer and writing laboratory.

School officials ordered the evacuation of Juniper Hall and surrounding buildings. Alamo Colleges Police Department with cooperation from other local authorities swept through the buildings to investigate for any explosives and ensure the safety of the students.

At the conclusion of the sweep, no bomb or threatening material was found and classes resumed normal activity around 5:30pm.

Campus officials would like to remind students and others all threats will be investigated and prosecuted. Those placing threats will be turned over to Alamo College Police Department and local law enforcement agencies.

If the individual is a student at Alamo Colleges he/she will be subject to additional disciplinary action by Alamo Colleges.
