FRISCO – The Missions’ bats had another big night while hammering away to a 13-6 victory over Frisco Thursday night.
Because of the 17-out hit outing, the Missions moved into sole possession of first place in the Texas League South Division after Corpus Christi lost to Midland.
San Antonio, which has won the first three of the four-game series, erupted for a 20-4 win in the opener and followed with a 5-2 victory Wednesday before lowering the boom again.
The Missions owned an 8-2 lead after the first two innings and added more highlights with two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Ty France smacked his fourth homer in three days, a three-run shot during the five-run second. Fernando Tatis Jr. drove in three runs while going 3 for 7 at the plate.
