The 51st Miss Helotes Scholarship pageant was held on Saturday, April 21 at O’Connor High School auditorium. 10 young women, nine from O’Connor-one from Brandeis, stood on the stage hoping to earn the coveted crown and the diamond ring, after competing in the evening gown, interview, on-stage interview, and personality categories.
On behalf of the Helotes Festival Association judges selected the six members of the Miss Helotes Court. Members of the court include Miss Congeniality- Faith Tausch; Miss Spirit- Natalie Stewart; Miss Citizenship- Joy Burgin; Duchess-Dallas Tausch; Princess- Jaci Derby; and Miss Helotes-Kendall Taylor.
Other awards for the evening included Most Photogenic- Natalie Stewart; Best Personality-Dallas Tausch; Best Interview- Jaci Derby; and Best in Evening Gown-Dallas Tausch.
Miss Helotes and her court will make their first official appearance at the annual Corynval to be held on May 3-6.
