“Henry” The Puffy Taco to replace Ballapeno

Taco takes over primary mascot duties as Ballapeno talks stall

San Antonio –The San Antonio Missions have announced that “Henry” the Puffy Taco will replace Ballapeno as the club’s primary mascot. The mascot change is a result of failed negotiations between the club and Ballapeno, who is on strike following the addition of the Jalapeno Popper Dog to the Wolff Stadium concessions menu. “We are disappointed that it has come to this,” said Missions General Manager David Gasaway. “However, due to the fact that we begin a homestand Tuesday night, we felt action needed to be taken to serve the best interest of our fans. We hope we can eventually resolve this issue with Ballapeno, but we are excited to move forward with the Puffy Taco.” In addition to his long-time Taco Chase event, “Henry” will take over all other mascot roles on Tuesday as the Missions open up an eight-game homestand. First pitch for Tuesday’s series opener vs. Frisco is slated for 7:05 PM.
