Helotes Historical Society will hold general meeting on Tuesday, February 7

Clinton Haby, owner of StoryKeeping, will be the guest speaker at the General Meeting of the Historical Society of Helotes, February 7.

The General Meeting of the Historical Society of Helotes will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2016, at 12:00 pm, at Salt Grass Steakhouse, 11812 Bandera Road. Guest speaker is Clinton Haby, who will give a presentation titled, “Oral History Tomorrow.” Haby is a Helotes native and is descended from some of the area’s first residents on both sides of his family. The Benke, Haby, and Brauchle names can be found all around Helotes, the northwest side of San Antonio, and all down Highway 90 West. Clinton was raised in the same home as his grandmother and in the some room where she grew up. Built by his great-grandfather in 1938, the home is where his parents Curtis and Shirly Haby still reside. Clinton attended Helotes Elementary, Stinson Middle School, Marshall High School, and Texas A&M University. In 2009, he started his own company, StoryKeeping, and now helps families and companies to develop and pass down their stories to future generations.

The public is invited. Please RSVP at info@historicalsocietyofhelotes.org, or call 210-695-5328.
