Greater Helotes Little League Majors team reaches City semi-finals

littleleagueLittle League District 19 held the City Championships starting the week of June 1. Two Greater Helotes Little League major teams held spots in the bracket.

The Rangers played the Astros in the semifinals on Sunday, June 7. The bats for the Rangers were sluggish for the first two innings, then in the third inning batters connected for six runs. The Rangers would add two more runs in the fourth. By the end of the game the Rangers connected to score 10 runs beating the Astros 10 to 5.

The Rangers will play McAllister Park Nationals on Monday, June 8 in the semifinal game.

The first pitch on Field 1 will happen at 8pm. The winner of this semifinal match will play the winner of Northside Angels and McAllister Park Braves.

The finals will happen on Tuesday, June 9 at 7pm. This will be the last game for the regular Little League season as tryouts for the All Stars will take place beginning Thursday.
