Former Warren swim coach sentenced to 15 years

On April 30, James Schwegmann, former Warren High School swim coach plead guilty to charges of Indecency with child-contact.  The court sentenced Schwegmann to 15 years in the Texas Department of Correction and he must register for life on the registry. 

Schweggmann served as the boys’ and girls’ swim coach for Warren High School.  NISD officials received information about possible charges against Schweggman last April.  According to policy, he was placed on administrative leave and Schweggman submitted his resignation to the district shortly after being placed on leave.  He has not been in the employment of Northside since April of 2016.

Schwegmann was taken into custody by Bexar County and as of May 4 he was awaiting transfer to the Texas Department of Corrections.
