11 dancers from Chrissy’s Dance Academy travel to the Scottish Rite Theatre in San Antonio on Monday, July 6 to compete for a National Championship with Starbound Talent Search.  The “4K” group defends their title in lyrical dance.  The “4K”s are also competing in the jazz routine competition.

Solo competition begins early Monday morning.  The group routines are scheduled to begin at 4pm at the Theatre.  Admission is open to the public and those routines selected in the top will be invited back on Wednesday for the showcase and the opportunity to be crowned Grand Champion.

Kali Smith last year’s title winner in solo will have the opportunity to crown this year’s champion.  Contest rules prevent a dancer from winning a national title in an age group more than once.

Members of the “4K” include Kali Smith, Kirstyn Laschber, Karina Vela, and Kasey Cage.  Both entries were choreographed by Jenny Martinez.

Wednesday’s showcase will start with red carpet events at 4:30pm and competition starts at 5pm.

Scottish Rite Theatre is located at 308 Avenue E in San Antonio, Texas.
