Brandeis AFJROTC captures national championship

The Blue Aces, the unarmed AFJROTC drill team from Brandeis High School, competed in the National High School Drill Team Championships on May 5-7 in Daytona Beach Florida. The team commanded by Cadet Major Monique Bienen fought a hard battle against teams from all over the United States, Guam and Germany. The result of this two day grueling drill meet was the achievement of High School National Unarmed Champion. The Blue Aces story is unique. Brandeis opened up in 2008. The Blue Aces have been the runner up National Champions or National Champions at this exclusive drill meet for the past 8 years—straight.   The pride and dedication can be heard in their mantra. “it’s not me, it’s we and we are the Blue Aces.”
