Boys’ basketball playoffs announced

The boys’ basketball teams in Northside completed district play, on Tuesday, February 12.  In a night of uncertainty and waiting for the final horn to sound in most of the games coaches, players and fans waited for the determination of seeding and who would be in the playoffs.

This year, Brennan cinched the district title with one game left on the schedule. 

O’Connor needed a victory on the last night to wrap up second place.  Brandeis finished third. Stevens has to win against Holmes to earn the 4th place spot.

Brennan will play Monday, February 18 at Northside Sports Gym located at the Farris Athletic Complex.  The tip-off is yet to be determined.  The time should be finalized on Saturday.

O’Connor will play Reagan on Tuesday, February 19 at Northside Sports Gym.  Tip-off to be determined.

Brandeis plays Roosevelt on Tuesday, February 19 in a the first of a double header at Blossom Athletic Complex.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30pm.

Stevens plays Johnson on Tuesday, February 19 in the second game of the game of the double header at Blossom Athletic Complex.  Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.

Harlan ended the season as the district champions in the 5A classification and will play Highlands on Tuesday, February 19 at Alamo Convocation Center. The tip-off has not been determined at this time.
