The Helotes City Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, May 12. Mayor Tom Schoolcraft called the meeting to order at 7pm.
Schoolcraft presented the Public Works Department a resolution in support of National Public Works Week.
No one elected to speak at the public hearing regarding the change in definition for the medical offices in Old Town Helotes.
During the consent agenda Council approved the fireworks display for July 2 (July 4 celebration), minutes from the previous meeting, and the revenue and expenditure report for the month.

In final action of the night, Council met in closed session to decide upon Mayor Pro Temopre (the person to fill in if there is a vacancy as Mayor). Council elected Council member Alex Blue to the position. This is the first time for Blue to serve in this capacity.
