The WGLS Board of Directors takes great pride in dedicating our 45th Anniversary Stock Show to two former Gerlach show exhibitors and current Auction co-chairs; M’lissa Chumbley and Ernie DeWinne.
These two individuals exemplify the true spirit of leadership in our community. They have served our stock show with the highest degree of character and integrity. Over their many years of service, they have touched the lives of thousands of youth involved in agriculture. Mrs. Chumbley and Mr. DeWinne have shared their work ethic and passion for serving kids, to all of us involved in the Walter Gerlach Show. We honor them today for their devoted service to our program.
M’lissa Chumbley has been a volunteer with WGLS for over 35 years. She has served on the Livestock, Hospitality and Auction committees. Her service on the Auction committee has included numerous stints as the Auction committee chair or co-chair. Mrs. Chumbley has been a dedicated buyer for many years and is diligent in making sure every exhibitor is rewarded in the auction. M’lissa continues to be a great ambassador for the stock show, attracting business leaders and public school officials’ support to our organization. Special thanks to Mrs. Chumbley, for being a tremendous asset to our show and her relentless service to NISD youth.
Mrs. Chumbley is a High Value Insurance Specialist for USAA. She also serves as a school board trustee in NISD. Mrs. Chumbley was elected to the Northside School Board in 1995 and currently serves as President of the board.
